This upcoming theatrical version of Oscar is based on the original motion picture "Oscar" which was released in 1991. The original movie included an all-star cast with Sylvester Stallone, Chazz Palminteri, Kirk Douglas, Tim Curry, Harry Shearer, Kurtwood Smith, Marisa Tomei, Peter Riegert, and many more. It was a fast-paced farce that, in many ways, seemed to almost scream out for a theatrical production to be made.
