So with Hollywood nicely tied-into the piece and permission secured, it was time for the second hurdle that would keep the show on-hold for quite some time, trying to find a stage. "Unfortunately due to the necessity for a mansion-sized set (with five entrances and exits to accommodate the huge amount of criss-crossing that goes on between the characters), the show required a large stage. Many generous offers were made for the use of various locations and auditoriums, however they just were not large enough to accommodate the needs of the show. "

"Well, after numerous attempts and a lot of waiting a place has finally be secured. North East High was generous enough to allow us to use their facilities (and they are perfect for the production). They also gave us ample rehearsal space as well as utilization of some of their new equipment including lights, sound and microphones."

"We also received support from the Erie County Historical Society who showed a tremendous interest in the project. They were generous enough to donate some resources. As a result, profits stemming from Oscar will be donated to the ECHS. They are a wonderful non-profit group who will use the money to benefit the Erie community. We are also hoping to donate extra set pieces purchased to the North East Community Players and other local Erie theater groups."

And that is the story of this production of Oscar. "I am extremely excited to get it off-the-ground and I know audiences will love it. With the support of the Erie community and Hollywood combined, it should be a great time and a great experience."
