I usually mask off the area around the door (along with paper on the sides to prevent over-spray). Then
I tape off the coin slots and cut using an Xacto knife. And, I remove the lock and mask behind it.

I've had luck with Krylon "Semi-Flat Black" (K-Mart, $1.98). It dries very close to the original paint.
Also, if you use mean-green to clean the door off (without sanding), the spray leaves original defects
the door exhibited from the factory.
