.....

I purchased this Twilight Zone initially to add to my collection. I like TZ quite a bit and being a Pat Lawlor fan, it seemed like a no-brainer for me. I was told, "It had been gone-through, new cabinet decals, shopped-out and completely gorgeous."

Well............SOME of that was true.

The cabinet decals looked beautiful. I'm not a huge fan of them and prefer to have even a slightly faded original silk-screened cab than a sticker. But, I was willing to give it a try this time around. Unfortunately, they did a sloppy job with the corners, it was cut horribly and was bubbling in a couple areas. Yuk!

The top of the machine was definitely gorgeous. NO playfield wear, a beautiful gloss, new parts and rubbers. It looked excellent.

However, the internals and electronics were a mess and it just seemed to get worse. The Powerball optos were a wreck, the magnet playfield was screwed up, the phantom switch problems were poppping up everywhere........it was just a mess. I worked on it forever and then decided, "this game needs to go, it's too beat-up." So, I sold it to a brave collector who was willing to tackle the last few things and keep it running. Hell, I'll get a nicer one later that works. ;)
