MY THOUGHTS ON MY THIRD PINBALL SHOW:

Once again, the York show has come and gone. I had been looking forward to it for quite a long time and it flew by quickly. I was glad that it happened to fall right at a time this year when I could go (rehearsing for Beauty and the Beast and playing Cogsworth is taking up most of my time).

And, once again, I had a great time. There were a ton of great people to talk to, especially those I've met over the years and at previous pinball shows. There were also bunch of fun games to play, some interesting tournaments, and great food and prizes. Good times.

Like usual, some of the games ranged from excellent, to average, to "WHY???". In fact, Paul L. and I had a fun time picking out a row of games that could have, at least, been wiped down. My goodness.

There were some standouts that I enjoyed. A fully working, hardly faded Party Zone was probably my favorite game at the show. I tried to do whatever I could to buy it. However, fate was not on my side this time around. Dave Martin had an excellent Fathom he brought along to share. It looked beautiful and he said he "aint even done with it yet". Goodness! I also enjoyed playing Austin Powers for the first time, Dan's Bride of Pinbot, and couldn't get enough of M&P's No Good Gofers (haven't played it since I owned the machine). Thanks to everyone for bringing them along. There were others I know I am forgetting.

I want to thank a few people. First off, thanks to Eric and Marlin for putting on a great show. Great time as always.

Secondly, thanks to Dave Martin for hosting a fun get-together at his place Friday night. It was a great time and he had some fun games setup and play (almost got the Fish Tales high by a couple hundred, right Mark?). ;)

Second, thanks to everyone I met this year either through the newsgroup or at the show. It was great getting to meet a lot of you. Hanging out with Pat, Dave, Terry, Rick, Trent, Chris, Mark and much more.

Well..........guess we'll move on to 2005.
